MISSION MARS – JOURNEY BEGAN

       CONGRTULATIONS ISRO

MANGALYAAN – MARS ORBITER MISSION (MOM) Spacecraft Launched Successfully to Earth Orbit.

Prime Minister announced on 15th August 2012 and today the PSLV-C25 (this is 25th Flight) placed the spacecraft into earth orbit 44 minutes after blast off which took place exactly at 2.38 pm today from Sriharikota.

It is a 300 day Journey, after few days of orbiting Earth, it will start the 480 million mile journey towards Mars .

It will  reach the Mars orbit by September 2014.

We are the 4th Country after Soviet Union, USA and European Union on Mars Journey.

Scientific Objective of the Mission is Exploration of Mars Surface Features, Morphology, Mineralogy and Martian Atmosphere by indigenous scientific instruments.

Every Indian can feel proud on this moment.

The FIDE  World Chess Championship Match FWCM CHENNAI 2013 will be held at Hotel Hyatt Regency from Nov 7th to 28th.
                                   
The official website for the Chess  World Championship  FWCM CHENNAI 2013 is live now.
Our Own Mr Viswanathan Anand will play Challenger Mr Magnus Carlsen of Norway.
Anand 44 is the defending Champion since 2007. with  2775 ELO points (Sep13).
Carlsen  (Norway) 22 is the Current No 1 Rated Player with 2862 ELO.
The AICF people tried to bring the earlier Championship (2012) to Chennai.
Thanks to Honourable Chief Minister TN, Mr Sundar Vice President FIDE,    Mr J C D Prabhakaran President AICF. Their Efforts brought it this time.
