Akshaya Patra – feeding children

Educating the under privileged Children is one of the noble cause.

To educate one you have to bring him to school first. As per world bank survey, close to 13.5 million are out of school  and into child labour in order to earn a single meal in a day. so you have to provide at least one meal to him.

Here comes your chance to participate in such a noble cause of feeding and thus by educating under privileged children.

Donate to a Foundation that feeds 1,253,266 school children everyday.

The  AKSHYAPATRA FOUNDATION is a non profit organisation engaged in feeding children.

Their vision is “No Child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger” 

They feed 1,253,266 children everyday.

They implement the school meal programme in a grand manner with the help of The  Ministry of Human Resource Development and with  various State Governments.

The Foundation was  started in June 2000 in Bangalore by feeding 1500 children of 5 Schools.

Mr Madhu Pandit Dasa,  an M Tech Post Graduate from IIT Mumbai, is the person behind this initiative.
