New Section 87A - Rs 2000 Rebate

Under Section 87 A of Income Tax Act 1961, every INDIVIDUAL whose Income is below Rs. 5,00,000/ gets a rebate of Rs. 2,000/ from Total Tax payable.

This New section was introduced by Mr Chidambaram during his Budget Speech 2013.

This is applicable to Resident Individuals (not for HUF and NRI) whose Total Taxable Income (after Deductions under Chapter VI-A)  does not exceed Rs. 5,00,000/  for the Financial Year 2013-14.

This is also beneficial for senior citizens of age 60 to 79 also.

After arriving at the Total Tax Payable, one can deduct Rs. 2,000/ u/s 87A.

When Tax payable is less than RS.2,000/ the rebate is limited to the amount of Tax payable.

Government of Tamil Nadu Released Public Holidays list for the Year 2014 under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

(Under the “Explanation” to section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act,
1881 (Central Act XXVI of 1881) read with Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, No.20-25-26, Public-1, dated the 8th June,
1957, the Government of Tamil Nadu hereby declares, that in addition to
“Sundays” expressly defined as Public Holidays in the said “Explanation” the following days shall be Public Holidays for the year 2014).

MISSION MARS – JOURNEY BEGAN

       CONGRTULATIONS ISRO

MANGALYAAN – MARS ORBITER MISSION (MOM) Spacecraft Launched Successfully to Earth Orbit.

Prime Minister announced on 15th August 2012 and today the PSLV-C25 (this is 25th Flight) placed the spacecraft into earth orbit 44 minutes after blast off which took place exactly at 2.38 pm today from Sriharikota.

It is a 300 day Journey, after few days of orbiting Earth, it will start the 480 million mile journey towards Mars .

It will  reach the Mars orbit by September 2014.

We are the 4th Country after Soviet Union, USA and European Union on Mars Journey.

Scientific Objective of the Mission is Exploration of Mars Surface Features, Morphology, Mineralogy and Martian Atmosphere by indigenous scientific instruments.

Every Indian can feel proud on this moment.
