Batsman number 3 or one down in Test Cricket for South Africa, Mr Hashim Mohamed Amla of Indian origin was born on 31st March 1983.
Hashim Amla, known as Gentleman cricketer, is playing his 50th Test at his Home Ground Kingsmead at Durban.
In his last four innings against India in 2010 alone He made 630 runs at least a century in each innings and was out only twice.
His stats 49 matches, 3,787 runs, 12 Hundreds, 18 Fifties at an average of 46.75,( ODI Ave 59.56) 253 not out being the Highest score, that too against India.

Educating the under privileged Children is one of the noble cause.
To educate one you have to bring him to school first. As per world bank survey, close to 13.5 million are out of school and into child labour in order to earn a single meal in a day. so you have to provide at least one meal to him.

There will be changes in pension plans from 1st July 2010.
Minimum Lock in period 5years. (Presently 3 years in some plans).
Compulsory Insurance cover.(now you may opt 0 life cover).
No Full surrender. (now you may withdraw fully and close it after 5 years).
Investors, above age 50, don't want to pay higher mortality charge may invest now without life cover.

Guaranteed Highest NAV
All Insurance companies launched ULIP plans with Guaranteed Highest NAV in the last 7 years.
I wonder how there can be a Guarantee in a market linked plan.
Even if you invest in Debt funds, you cant guarantee the Highest NAV of a particular period on maturity.
So these funds will be managed in such a way that the NAV is not going beyond a level.
Is it worth investing in such plans.
Instead you may very well go for a 100% equity or for a balancer Plan which will give a better return over a period of 8 more years.
Guaranteed Highest NAV
ULIP plans from insurance companies are regulated by IRDA.
SEBI wants to regulate and like to have a monitoring control over ULIP plans. ( IRDA is against this)
Now all insurance companies launched Guaranteed Highest nav in the first 7 years for a 8 to 10 year term ULIP policies.
This is to be analyzed by SEBI.
In Market linked plans there can be No Guarantee.
Agents are to be educated and trained well.

NTPC FPO
NTPC Follow on Public Offer is opening on 3rd February and is closing on 5th February.
41,22,73,220 shares of face value of Rs 10.is going to be offered from 5% of Govt holdings. Out of this 42,73,220 are reserved for employees.
NTPC issue is the beginning of Government’s disinvestment plan. They are planning to disinvest in almost 60 PSUs.
Other PSUs on line for divestment plans Before March 31st are NMDC, Rural Electric and Satluj Jal Vidyut.
The Current Market Price of NTPC as on 15th Jan is Rs.232.25.
