Batsman number 3 or one down in Test Cricket for South Africa, Mr Hashim Mohamed Amla of Indian origin was born on 31st March 1983.
Hashim Amla, known as Gentleman cricketer, is playing his 50th Test at his Home Ground Kingsmead at Durban.
In his last four innings against India in 2010 alone He made 630 runs at least a century in each innings and was out only twice.
His stats 49 matches, 3,787 runs, 12 Hundreds, 18 Fifties at an average of 46.75,( ODI Ave 59.56) 253 not out being the Highest score, that too against India.

It seems that he who grows 'bigger beard' makes it big in test cricket...Hashim did that...Mohammed Yousuf, with a similar facial look (infact such ppl don't have look, or you cannot see their face as it is so much covered by their beard), holds the record for MOST TEST RUNS in a calendar year.
